Davis Polk was named The Door’s 2024 Legal Services Center Pro Bono Partner in recognition of the firm’s dedication to pro bono work in support of New York City’s vulnerable youth.

The Door provides health care, education, mental health counseling, legal assistance, high school equivalency and college preparation services, career development, housing support, recreational activities and nutritious meals to young New Yorkers in need. Through The Door’s Legal Services Center, Davis Polk assists young immigrants in pursuing humanitarian relief (including through SIJS and asylum applications). In the past three years, Davis Polk, in partnership with The Door, has obtained humanitarian immigration remedies for six young clients and is currently pursuing a case for a seventh. Davis Polk and Morgan Stanley also co-sponsor an Equal Justice Works fellow at The Door and plan to collaborate with our fellow on new clinical initiatives.

The award was presented on April 4, 2024, at The Door’s annual “Joining in Justice” reception in New York City.
