Following a rigorous, year-long certification process, Davis Polk has achieved Mansfield Rule 5.0 certification from Diversity Lab, demonstrating the firm’s longstanding and continued commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive firm. The Mansfield Rule aims to boost and sustain diversity in law firm leadership.

The certification process requires law firms to consider at least 30% historically underrepresented lawyers – including women, racially and ethnically diverse and LGBTQ+ lawyers and lawyers with disabilities – when promoting or appointing to leadership roles, among a dozen other actions that focus on the path to leadership.

Mansfield’s behavioral science and data-driven certification process focuses on accountability, through frequent check-ins, data collection and reporting; collaboration, through knowledge sharing forums for participants; and transparency, through publicly certifying.
