Davis Polk counsel Zachary Zweihorn will be among the speakers at the 24th Annual International Bar Association Global Insolvency and Restructuring Conference. Zweihorn will speak on “The brave new world of blockchain, cyber currencies, and smart contracts and their impact on insolvency law – Part II” panel, which will delve into some of the more complex issues raised by the increased use of cryptocurrencies, such as the future of government money, trading markets for cyber currency, regulatory issues, and the many legal issues that arise when a user of cryptocurrency becomes insolvent. The panelists will also discuss the lessons learned from the recent insolvency in Japan of the Mt. Gox cyber currency exchange.

The program will be held on May 6-8, 2018, in Amsterdam.
