Davis Polk was recognized at Expansión’s annual Awards for Business Law for advising BBVA on its takeover bid of Sabadell, which was honored as a “Major Deal of 2024.” The awards recognize outstanding transactions as well as the people and institutions that made them happen.

In addition, Davis Polk associate Jose Lucena-Rebollo was named among the “Top 10 Young Lawyers of the Year” for the fifth year in a row for his work advising companies, funds and investment banks on cross-border M&A and debt and equity capital markets transactions.  

The Expansión Awards for Business Law were announced on June 19, 2025, in Madrid.
