Davis Polk partner David Schnabel will be among the speakers at PLI’s Tax Planning for Domestic & Foreign Partnerships, LLCs, Joint Ventures & Other Strategic Alliances 2019 conferences this Spring in New York, Chicago and San Francisco. Schnabel will be a speaker on the “New Partnership Audit Rules” and “Private Equity” panels.

The “New Partnership Audit Rules” panel will discuss rules governing partnership tax audits introduced by the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015, the many issues they raise and what needs to be done now in drafting partnership agreements and disclosure documents.

The “Private Equity” panel will cover the basics of private equity structures, topside planning to accommodate the tax objectives of fund managers and investors, including issues raised in cross-border investing, such as UBTI, ECI, FIRPTA, sovereign investors (Section 892), recent changes to the Code and transaction and exit planning.

The programs will be held April 30-May 2, 2019, in New York, May 14-16, 2019 in Chicago and June 4-6, 2019, in San Francisco.
