Gildan Activewear $2.3 billion Hanesbrands acquisition financing

Davis Polk is advising the joint lead arrangers and administrative agents, in connection with a $1.2 billion bridge facility and $1.1 billion term loan facilities to be provided to Gildan Activewear in connection with its acquisition of Hanesbrands.
Gildan Activewear, founded in 1946 and headquartered in Montreal, Canada, manufactures and sells various apparel products under a variety of brands including Gildan, Comfort Colors and American Apparel. It generated adjusted revenue last year of $3.3 billion.
Hanesbrands, based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, designs, manufactures, sources and sells a range of innerwear apparel for men, women and children. It has with over 50,000 employees in approximately 30 countries.
