Crypto asset legislation is on the horizon. We have started to see legislative proposals, some of which are meant to create a regulatory framework for all crypto assets and others for certain classes of crypto assets such as stablecoins. We expect these proposals—even if not enacted in their current forms—to provide the building blocks for future proposals that ultimately become law.
