On October 20, 2023, Davis Polk partner Lucy Farr will be among the speakers at the ABA’s 2023 Fall Tax Meeting. Lucy will speak on the “Moore’s Potential Impact on Financial Products Practice” panel. The panelists will discuss Moore v. U.S., in which the Supreme Court will consider whether the Sixteenth Amendment authorizes Congress to tax unrealized sums, and will assess the stakes, evaluate likely outcomes and discuss potential Congressional responses.
