Davis Polk is advising Genuine Parts Company on its approximately $2 billion acquisition of Alliance Automotive Group from private equity funds managed by Blackstone and AAG’s co-founders. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Genuine Parts Company distributes automotive replacement parts in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Australasia. Headquartered in London, AAG is the second-largest parts distribution platform in Europe, with a focus on light vehicle and commercial vehicle replacement parts.
