Davis Polk counsel Jeanine McGuinness and Will Schisa will be among the speakers at the 4th Canadian Forum on Global Economic Sanctions Compliance & Enforcement.

McGuinness will speak on the “Latest Developments in Russian Sectoral Sanctions from the US, EU and Canada Perspective and Key Areas to Watch in the Near Future” panel. Topics discussed will include:

  • In-depth examination of the changes to US, Canadian, and EU sanctions policies from the past year
  • Consequences of the April 6th 2018 expansion of OFAC sanctions designations
  • CAATSA secondary sanctions-on-the-ground consequences of sanctions against Russian Federation and parastatal actors
  • Gap analysis – where are we still lacking guidance from regulatory authorities?

Schisa, a former Senior Counsel in the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control, will participate in “Lessons Learned From Former Government Officials,” an interactive session with former Canadian and American government officials.
