Davis Polk Chair and Managing Partner Neil Barr and partner and Sports practice head Jon Oram were named among the 2026 “Counsel of Champions: Hollywood’s Top Sports Lawyers” by the Hollywood Reporter. The list recognizes attorneys who are “engineering the sports industry’s biggest money moves.”

Neil was recognized for his work advising Mark Walter on his acquisition of a majority stake in the Los Angeles Lakers and Josh Harris on his acquisition of Washington Commanders. 

Jon was recognized for advising the San Diego Padres and the Seidler family in an agreement to transfer control to a new group led by José E. Feliciano and Kwanza Jones, among other high-profile transactions.
