Davis Polk partner and Private Equity co-head John Amorosi was quoted in Business Insider on recent activity and market trends in the private equity space. John noted that many investment firms have been looking for transactions where debt is not required because of the lack of available debt at attractive interest rates, which means that minority stakes and co-investments have become more popular. “Other sponsors are sitting on the sidelines for now until prices settle down further and the debt markets reach their levels, so that everything be properly priced,” he said.

John also explained that the healthcare services industry may become an active area for investors in the coming months, given that it is perceived as recession resistant.
