GO ¥97.2 billion IPO
We advised the international joint lead managers and joint bookrunners on the offering
Davis Polk advised the international joint lead managers and joint bookrunners in connection with the initial public offering of 36,936,900 shares of common stock and Tokyo Stock Exchange listing of GO Inc.
The global offering consisted of an offering in Japan and an international offering outside Japan pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S. The shares in the international offering were sold by DeNA Co., Ltd., NTT DOCOMO, INC. and TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION as the selling shareholders. The Japanese underwriters have an over-allotment option with respect to 3,546,000 shares. Assuming full exercise of the over-allotment option, the aggregate proceeds of the global offering will be approximately ¥97.2 billion (approximately $606.6 million).
GO operates Japan’s leading taxi e-hailing app. As a pioneer of digital transformation in the taxi industry in Japan, GO’s platform combines app-based taxi hailing with in-taxi technology to meet the needs of both the users and partner taxi operators through services such as ride matching, payment processing and advertising.
