Davis Polk advised the joint bookrunners in connection with an SEC-registered offering, by COPEL and the State of Paraná as selling shareholder, of a total of 631,546,650 common shares for an aggregate amount of R$5.21 billion (approximately $1.07 billion), which includes the exercise of an over-allotment option. The common shares of COPEL trade on the São Paulo Stock Exchange.

COPEL is one of the largest electricity companies in Brazil in terms of diversification and relevance of operating assets in the Brazilian electric energy sector. It operates in the generation, transmission, distributions and power sale segments, with 6,967 MW of total installed capacity, through 75 generating units, 9,685 km of transmission lines and 51 substations in nine Brazilian states and a concession area for distribution of 194,854 km² in the State of Paraná, serving more than 5 million consumers over 208,000 km of distribution lines.
