Position Summary

The Senior Specialist, HRIS – Benefits & HCM position is responsible for the administration, configuration, and management of Workday Benefits, Wellness, Retirement, and additional HCM responsibilities. The Senior Specialist will report to the Director, HRIS & HR Analytics while working closely with HRIS, Benefits, and additional COEs.

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage and prioritize ongoing initiatives, including cyclical and ad hoc Benefits & HCM projects, processes, tasks, and activities.
  • Hands on Workday configuration and administration across Benefits & HCM, in support of various employee populations.
  • Lead efforts to solicit requirements, configure, test, and administer Benefits events, plans, open enrollments, regulatory reporting, and additional projects and processes.
  • Manage and contribute toward HRIS audit efforts to effectively enable ongoing HR data governance and increase compliance.
  • Manage and contribute toward HRIS service delivery and daily operations to advance request handling and support for business users.
  • Manage requirements gathering and maintain necessary documentation to continue developing the Benefits & HCM knowledgebase.
  • Partner with HRIS, Benefits, HR Support, ER/Compliance, Talent, Payroll, Compensation, and additional cross-functional teams as required.
  • Deliver ongoing recommendations and enhancements to streamline and advance Benefits & HCM business processes.
  • Support Workday release management processes as needed, including the testing and enablement of the semi-annual release cycle.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested for successful operation of the department.  
Qualifications / Position Requirements
  • Proven experience with Benefits & HCM processes, administration, and configuration; global Benefits experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Workday Benefits & core HCM; additional modules a plus.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, including standard and complex projects and tasks.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and contribute toward delegation of HRIS work priorities.
  • Must demonstrate consistent initiative and teamwork skills to succeed in developing necessary partnerships.
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and support a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt with shifting business priorities as needed, including effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other applications as needed.
  • Experience working with Jira and additional project management applications.
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR Information Systems, Human Resources Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience working directly within or partnering closely with an HRIS team
  • Minimum 7+ years’ working within Human Resources in a Benefits & HCM capacity
  • Strong level of proficiency in Workday Benefits
  • Experience in additional Workday modules a plus
Compensation

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $135,000 - $145,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Davis Polk offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
