Senior Manager, Business Development – Energy, Power & Infrastructure
Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm (overtime as required).
The Business Development team supports the firm across a broad spectrum of new business and client relationship-building activities, including the creation of new business proposals and firm marketing materials, upkeep of the databases that track firm experience and client information, competitive intelligence and coordination of client events.
The Senior Coordinator, Business Development is an integral part of the team and supports the Senior Manager, Business Development on a variety of marketing and business development activities.
The Senior Coordinator will support the Energy, Power and Infrastructure (EPI) industry group, with a strong focus on project finance, and will have the opportunity to work on cross-practice initiatives related to conventional and renewable power, data centers and digital infrastructure, and related areas.
Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintaining matter databases and recording updates for precedent, marketing, and business development purposes
- Preparing deal lists for various practice areas, as well as geographical and industry sectors
- Updating print and digital marketing materials to ensure content reflects the substantive strengths, accomplishments and current activities of the firm and specific practices
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly reports (new matters, business development activity)
- Coordinating the scheduling and submission of numerous league tables, legal directories, awards and related industry guides (Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR)
- Researching existing and prospective clients, competitor activity and market trends / opportunities
- Assisting with content development for presentations, proposals, and pitch materials
- Knowledge of, and experience with, corporate practice groups (such as finance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, tax)
- Experience with InterAction or another CRM programs
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work confidently and collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Highly motivated and conscientious, with a strong interest in learning and participating in ways beyond the immediate job description
- A sharp eye for detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum two years of relevant experience in a law firm or professional services environment
- Knowledge of project finance or energy industry preferred but not required
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $80,000-$90,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
