Davis Polk Chair and Managing Partner Neil Barr and partners Michael Davis and Brian Wolfe were named among the Hollywood Reporter’s Top Dealmakers of 2025 for their role advising Mark Walter on his acquisition of a majority stake in the Los Angeles Lakers. The transaction values the Lakers at $10 billion, the highest valuation ever for U.S. professional sports franchise.

The annual list honors lawyers and other advisors on the frontlines of industry-shaping transactions.
