Davis Polk partner and IP Litigation practice head Ashok Ramani was named to Bloomberg Law’s 2026 “Unrivaled” trial lawyers list. The list honors 25 trial lawyers who are setting the standard for success in high-stakes litigation and impactful settlements.

Ashok was recognized for his work securing a unanimous jury verdict for Magnolia Medical’s patent infringement litigation.

In his honoree profile, Ashok discusses his trial strategy, the challenges he faced during the trial, his career journey, and advice for young trial lawyers. 

“I always try to marry emotion and character/credibility to my logical arguments. In the Magnolia Medical trial, for example, we blended what we thought were strong patent-based technical arguments with discussions about innovation and free-riding,” Ashok said.
