Deep experience on a wide variety of large and complex corporate restructuring and liability management matters, representing debtors, creditors and other parties.

Adam has led representations on many of the largest corporate restructurings and bankruptcies of the past decade. He has represented debtors, creditors and other strategic parties in bankruptcies, out-of-court workouts, liability management transactions, debt exchanges, direct lending transactions, DIP and exit financings, litigation, cross-border insolvencies and section 363 sales. He has been named a “Rising Star” by Petition, a “40 Under 40” emerging leader by the American Bankruptcy Institute, and an “Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyer” by Turnaround & Workouts.

Adam has published numerous articles on restructuring, has been quoted in Debtwire, 9fin, Octus and Bloomberg and has taught bankruptcy law classes at leading universities. He is a member of the Bankruptcy Strategist editorial board and the New York City Bar’s bankruptcy committee. He is a leader of the UJA NextGen Bankruptcy and Reorganization Group, a member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Brooklyn Public Library.

  • Counsel to senior bank agent (including pre-petition, DIP and exit facilities) in Bed Bath & Beyond, Pacific Gas & Electric and other matters
  • Counsel to sponsor and anchor lenders in Wheel Pros and Hornblower
  • Counsel to Delta Air Lines in connection with the chapter 11 proceedings of LATAM Airlines and strategic investment in Wheels Up
  • Counsel to the Central Bank of Curaçao and St. Maarten and the foreign representative of ENNIA Caribe Holding N.V. in historic chapter 15 proceedings
