On December 12, 2018, Davis Polk and ten of the firm’s lawyers were honored at the Law Society of Hong Kong’s 2018 Pro Bono and Community Service Awards.  

Davis Polk received a Distinguished Pro Bono Law Firm Award in recognition of the firm’s outstanding commitment to pro bono work and community service. In 2018, lawyers and staff from Davis Polk’s Hong Kong office took on a range of important and impactful projects, including advocacy for the LGBT community, appellate and first-instance work with refugees, and advice to social enterprises and charities. Davis Polk also received a Silver Law Firm Award to recognize the participation of the firm’s individual lawyers.

In addition, counsel Jonathan Chang was one of three recipients of the Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award for his work to increase pro bono activity in Davis Polk’s Hong Kong office and the Hong Kong legal community. The Law Society also presented individual Gold awards to partner Martin Rogers, counsel Jonathan Chang, and associates Robyn Crowter, John Hammond Heath, Sybil Sam and Yuan Zheng.  Associates Sui Hang Hui and Vincent Ko received individual Silver awards, and counsel Kevin So and associate Enoch Lee received individual Bronze awards.
