Davis Polk partners Cheryl Chan and Angela Libby were named among The Deal’s 2023 “Top Women in Dealmaking.” The list honors exemplary women in the M&A and restructuring fields who are setting the bar for the next generation of attorneys and have shown the ability to navigate complex transactions over the past 12 months while maintaining strong client relationships and leading in and out of the boardroom.

Cheryl was recognized for her role advising on several high-profile M&A deals including: Emerson’s $14 billion sale of its Climate Technologies business to Blackstone and its $11 billion combination with Aspen Technology, Brookfield’s acquisitions of CDK Global and DexKo Global, and Spectrum Brands’ sale of its Hardware & Home Improvement segment to ASSA ABLOY Group.

Angela was recognized in connection with her work on several major restructuring matters such as Revlon’s restructuring, Samarco’s restructuring, Incora’s recapitalization transaction and Washington Prime Group’s restructuring.
