On October 19, 2021, Davis Polk partner Brian Resnick was presented with WhyHunger’s Harry Chapin Humanitarian Award at the organization’s “Come Together” event. Brian was honored in recognition of his longtime support of WhyHunger and his contributions to its Drum Together campaign.

Brian, a Tony Award-winning producer, conceptualized and produced Drum Together. The campaign, which unites more than 100 of the world’s greatest drummers and percussionists for a drum-focused cover of The Beatles’ song “Come Together,” so far has raised nearly $600,000 to support WhyHunger’s community-led solutions around the globe that advance the human right to nutritious food for all.

In accepting the award, Brian said: “Bringing together so many amazing musicians for WhyHunger’s Drum Together was an absolutely incredible and inspirational experience. I’ve always been moved by Harry Chapin’s altruism. He walked the walk and paved a path for so many artists to do the same. I’m humbled to earn this award in his memory and legacy and look forward to continuing my support of WhyHunger’s work.”
