We advised the underwriters on the investment-grade debt offering

Davis Polk advised the representatives of the several underwriters, on an SEC-registered offering by Anthem, Inc. of $3.5 billion in aggregate principal amount of unsecured and unsubordinated notes, consisting of an SEC-registered offering of $500 million in aggregate principal amount of unsecured and unsubordinated 0.450% notes due 2023, $750 million in aggregate principal amount of unsecured and unsubordinated 1.500% notes due 2026, $1 billion in aggregate principal amount of unsecured and unsubordinated 2.550% notes due 2051 and $1.25 billion in aggregate principal amount of a new series of unsecured and unsubordinated 3.600% notes due 2051.
