Adam L. Shpeen


Represents debtors, creditors, banks, hedge funds, lenders, asset purchasers and other strategic parties with a wide range of complex corporate restructuring matters.

Adam has substantial experience in corporate restructurings and bankruptcies, representing debtors, creditors and other strategic parties in bankruptcies, out-of-court workouts, liability management transactions, debt exchanges, direct lending transactions, debtor-in-possession and exit financings, litigation, cross-border insolvencies and section 363 sales.

In 2021, the Turnaround Management Association (“TMA”) recognized Adam for his work representing an ad hoc group of lenders in the Murray Energy bankruptcy, which TMA named the “Mega Company Turnaround/Transaction of the Year.”

Adam is a member of The Bankruptcy Strategist editorial board, serves on the Junior Advisory Board of Her Justice and is a leader of the UJA NextGen Bankruptcy and Reorganization Group. He is also a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Committee on Bankruptcy and Corporate Reorganization.
