Davis Polk welcomes Investment Management partner Oran Ebel
Davis Polk today announced that Oran Ebel has joined the firm as a partner in the Investment Management practice in New York. He joins the firm after more than 12 years with Blackstone Credit & Insurance.
“Oran is a sophisticated credit funds lawyer with significant experience working on the most complicated legal issues across both the regulated and private fund spaces. Prior to joining Davis Polk, Mr. Ebel was a Managing Director in the Legal & Compliance group of Blackstone and Deputy General Counsel of Blackstone Credit. He also served as Chief Legal Officer & Secretary of Blackstone Private Credit Fund (BCRED) and Blackstone Secured Lending Fund (BXSL), Blackstone’s credit BDCs. In these roles, his responsibilities related to new business initiatives, fund structuring and related issues, investment transactions, regulatory matters, and other legal and compliance matters. Mr. Ebel joined Blackstone Credit & Insurance (formerly GSO Capital Partners) in 2013. Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Ebel was a finance associate at a global law firm.

Mr. Ebel received his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2008 and his A.B. from Princeton University in 2002.
