Valterra Platinum demerger from Anglo American
We advised Valterra Platinum on the U.S. law aspects of the transaction
Davis Polk advised Valterra Platinum Limited (formerly Anglo American Platinum Limited) as to U.S. law in connection with its demerger from Anglo American plc via a spinoff of 51% of Anglo American’s interest in Valterra Platinum. Following the spinoff, Valterra Platinum is listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and London Stock Exchange under the symbols “VAL” and VALT,” respectively.
Valterra Platinum is a global mining company focused on the production and marketing of platinum group metals. It operates across the full value chain, from mining the resources to delivering finished products to its customers. Its operations include mines and smelting and refining facilities, primarily located in South Africa and Zimbabwe.
