On September 16 and 17, 2025, Davis Polk AML/CFT head Dan Stipano and associate Kendall Howell will be among the speakers at the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists’ 2025 Las Vegas Conference.

Dan will speak on the “Pivot Points: Responding to Regulatory Volatility” panel, which will provide an overview of which financial crime regulations have been changed or de-emphasized and how your institution can respond to these changing priorities. He will also serve as the moderator for “The ACAMS Great Debate: Is De-Banking a Real Issue for Most U.S. Customers?” The participants will discuss the accusations of unfair de-risking practices in the U.S. and whether de-banking is a valid concern or mostly a myth.

Kendall will speak on the “AI on the Compliance Frontline: What Banks and Fintechs Need to Know” panel. Topics discussed will include the evolving regulatory landscape of AI, how AI can supercharge or strain compliance functions and practical approaches to embedding AI into core compliance operations.
