At the 2020 IFLR Americas Awards, International Financial Law Review recognized Davis Polk with seven awards. The awards recognize the most legally innovative transactions closed in the continent during 2019, and the teams and individuals that worked on them.

Davis Polk counsel Vidal Vanhoof was named among the “Rising Stars of the Year.”

The firm took home the “Equity Team of the Year” award, and was honored for its role on XP Inc.’s initial public offering, which was named “Equity Deal of the Year.” The firm also took home the “Debt and Equity-Linked Team of the Year” award, and was honored for its role on Morgan Stanley’s SOFR-linked notes offering, which was named “Debt and Equity-Linked Deal of the Year.”

The firm was also recognized for its role on Brookfield Infrastructure’s acquisition of Genesee & Wyoming, which was named “Private Equity Deal of the Year,” and the firm’s role in Brookfield Business Partners’ acquisition of Johnson Controls Power Solutions Business, which was named “High Yield Deal of the Year.”
