Davis Polk partner Elena Millerman was quoted in 9fin discussing lenders’ increased focus on power supply due diligence in data center financings. 

The article noted that lenders are doing significant due diligence to ensure that the power needed for the data center will be there.

Once the power diligence is satisfied, “the risk is ultimately a standard project-on-project risk,” Elena said.

She added, “The way you get comfortable is you look at the creditworthiness of the producers and whether they can deliver or not.”
