Davis Polk advised the joint bookrunners and lead managers in connection with a Regulation S offering of US$200 million currency-linked zero coupon convertible bonds due 2018 by Advanced Semiconductor Engineering, Inc. (the “Bonds”).  The Bonds were New Taiwan dollar-linked, but US dollar-denominated and settled.  

Based in Taiwan, Advanced Semiconductor Engineering, Inc. is the world’s largest independent provider of semiconductor packaging and testing services based on 2014 revenues. The common shares of Advanced Semiconductor Engineering, Inc. are listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, and its ADSs are listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
