Julia Y. Chen

Julia represents financial institutions, strategic sponsors and investors on all phases of the development and financing of U.S. and international projects, with a focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors. Julia has significant experience advising clients on debt financings, project development, infrastructure-related acquisition financings and tax equity investments for utility-scale solar, onshore wind, transmission, carbon-free next-generation geothermal, power and energy transition projects. She also advises clients, including both buyers and sellers, on tax credit transactions for investment tax credits, advanced manufacturing production tax credits, and bonus credit qualifications, including in connection with community solar and battery component projects.
Julia maintains an active pro bono practice, including advice to clean energy start-ups on green carbon tokens and impact investing facilities.
