Hae Ji represents corporate and individual clients on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters, including Hong Kong regulatory investigations, disciplinary proceedings, internal investigations, international commercial arbitrations, commercial litigations and other commercial disputes. She advises a wide range of clients, including financial institutions, listed companies and accounting firms.

Experience

Regulatory Investigations & Enforcement
  • Advising major banks and securities firms on regulatory investigation and enforcement matters in Korea and other Asia-Pacific jurisdictions concerning market manipulation, market disruption, and short-selling regulation
  • Advising various Hong Kong-listed companies and international investment banks in investigations conducted by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and/or the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission
Arbitration & Dispute Resolution
  • Representing the founder of a China-based healthcare company in an HKIAC-administered arbitration under the HKIAC Administered Arbitration Rules, relating to a US$100 million credit facility dispute
  • Representing a Chinese conglomerate in an HKIAC-administered arbitration under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, relating to a shareholder dispute over corporate governance rights
  • Defending a listed manufacturer with respect to conspiracy to injure claims arising from a high-valued, cross-border investment
  • Defending a Hong Kong-based financial services company against allegations of financial mis-selling
  • Representing clients in respect of professional negligence claims in Hong Kong proceedings
  • Representing leading international accounting firms in Hong Kong against potential audit negligence claims

  • Advising clients on complex licensing matters related to cross-border M&As of financial institutions and licensing issues
