Davis Polk partners Christopher Schell, Yan Zhang and Derek Walters served as editors of the eighth edition of In Depth: Structured Products Law and authored the Editors’ preface and the “USA” chapter.

The book provides an overview of recent changes and developments in the legal and regulatory frameworks governing structured products markets in key jurisdictions worldwide.

In the “USA” chapter, the authors discuss the evolving legal and regulatory landscape for structured products in the United States, including the roles of the SEC, FINRA and bank regulators; the offering, distribution, sales and disclosure process; exchange listing and tax treatment; and emerging developments in cryptocurrency, tokenization, AI and prediction markets. The chapter also addresses recent enforcement trends, geopolitical impacts, and the continued growth and evolution of the structured products market.
