We advised SK on the launch of Korea’s largest renewable energy platform

Davis Polk advised SK Inc. in connection with the launch of Korea’s largest renewable energy platform, valued at approximately $1.3 billion, together with KKR. As part of the transaction, SK and KKR will bring together renewable energy assets previously held by SK affiliates spanning solar, onshore and offshore wind, and fuel cells into a single, integrated platform. Under the agreed structure, KKR will have initial management control of the platform, while SK will participate as an equity investor and retain flexibility to pursue control rights through future discussions.
