Davis Polk advised the Regents of the University of Michigan in connection with its All-Sport Agreement with Nike USA, Inc., pursuant to which Nike will act as the exclusive sponsor of the majority of the University’s varsity athletic programs and supply athletic footwear, apparel and equipment products to such athletic programs through 2027, with an option for the University to extend through 2031. The deal represents one of the largest apparel contracts in college sports history.

Founded in 1817 and located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the University of Michigan is a public research university whose varsity athletic programs compete in the NCAA’s Division I and in the Big Ten Conference. Nike USA, Inc. is a subsidiary of Nike, Inc., a global athletic footwear, apparel and equipment brand.
