We advised the Reinsdorf family with respect to the transactions

Davis Polk advised the Reinsdorf family with respect to the sale of a minority interest in both the Chicago Bulls and the United Center to Lukas and Samantha Walton. The transaction involves the purchase of existing stakes from certain limited partners. The Reinsdorf family will continue to hold the controlling interest in the Bulls. The Reinsdorf and Wirtz families will continue to hold the controlling interest in the United Center and The 1901 Project, a long-term, multi-phased development on Chicago’s West Side. Financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed.

The Chicago Bulls compete in the National Basketball Association as a member of the league’s Eastern Conference Central Division. The Reinsdorf family will remain steadfast in its long-term commitment to the organization. Jerry Reinsdorf is the NBA control person of the Chicago Bulls.
