As Chief Legal Recruiting Officer, Cristóbal leads all aspects of Davis Polk’s global legal recruiting strategy. With more than 25 years in law firm recruiting, he oversees all aspects of hiring for summer associates, entry-level and lateral associates, and recruiting of current judicial clerks. He works closely with the firm’s Hiring Partners and Recruiting Committee to strategize and implement the firm’s recruiting initiatives and summer associate program. Prior to joining Davis Polk in 2007, he worked in recruiting roles at two other Am Law 100 firms in New York.

Cristóbal is an active member of the National Association for Law Placement (NALP), where he previously served on the Board of Directors, and the New York City Recruitment Association (NYCRA), for which he served as both Chair and Vice-Chair. He regularly presents at law school programs and industry conferences on legal recruiting trends and best practices.

Cristóbal holds a Sc.B. in Psychology from Brown University.
