Over the past few years, France has been at the forefront of the blockchain revolution in the European Union, while the French government has gradually established a favorable legal framework for initial coin offerings, in collaboration with various players in the French crypto ecosystem.
As early as April 2016, France became the first country to recognize blockchain technology in the field of cash vouchers, also called “minibons,” a particular type of promissory note primarily used in crowd-lending transactions, by allowing issuers to register minibons directly into the blockchain.
