Mr. Hirschovits is a partner in Davis Polk’s Corporate Department, practicing in the London office. He advises companies, investment banks, private equity sponsors and investors on a wide range of corporate finance and capital markets transactions, including IPOs, secondary offerings, private placements and other equity and debt financing structures, as well as public and private acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures.

He has extensive experience of advising on the rules and market practice relating to UK listed company transactions, securities offerings and corporate governance.

In addition, he also represents companies, shareholders and placement agents on early stage financings and investments, such as private funding round transactions, for start-up and growth companies, with a particular focus in the technology, healthcare and financial services sector.

  • Ocado Group plc on its $262 million acquisition of Kindred Systems, an advanced piece-picking robotics company, and acquisition of Haddington Dynamics, a robotics-arm designer and manufacturer
  • Reliance Industries Limited in connection with its agreement to establish a joint venture to be held 51% by RIL and 49% by an affiliate of BP plc relating to their petroleum retail business in India
  • Charles Taylor on its £261 million takeover by Lovell Minnick
  • Temenos on its £1.4 billion takeover offer for Fidessa
  • ContourGlobal plc on its €806 million Class 1 acquisition of Acciona Termosolar
  • Dai-ichi Life Holdings, Inc. in connection with the $6 billion merger of Janus Capital Group, Inc. and Henderson Group plc and its strategic partnership with the combined group
