In this episode, we’ll hear from Linda Chatman Thomsen on some of the recent trends in SEC enforcement actions against public company directors. Ms. Thomsen is the former Director of Enforcement at the Securities and Exchange Commission (2005-2009) and is currently a partner in Davis Polk’s Litigation Department in Washington DC.

Ms. Thomsen began her career with Davis Polk and later returned after 14 years of public service at the SEC, where she led the Enron investigation, the auction rate securities settlements, the stock options backdating cases and the expansion of the enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Her practice at Davis Polk concentrates on matters related to the enforcement of the federal securities laws and includes regularly advising clients on corporate governance matters.

The podcast host is Joseph Hall, head of Davis Polk’s corporate governance practice and a former Chief of Staff for Chairman Donaldson at the SEC.
