Davis Polk partner Sophia Hudson has been recognized by New York Law Journal as a Rising Star for 2017. The list recognizes lawyers age 40 and under from private practice, government, nonprofit and academia who have established a record of accomplishments and demonstrated that they are top contributors to the practice of law and their communities.
Hudson is a partner in Davis Polk’s Corporate Department, practicing in the Capital Markets Group. She advises U.S. and non-U.S. issuers and underwriters on capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings and other equity offerings, public and private high-yield, investment-grade and convertible debt offerings and private placements of equity and convertible securities for early stage companies. She also advises her corporate clients, including management teams and boards of directors, on governance, corporate and securities law matters. Her experience ranges across a variety of industries, including biotech, consumer, financials, industrials, mining, retail, specialty pharmaceuticals and technology.
The honorees will be featured in a special section of the New York Law Journal and honored at a dinner on October 17, 2017, in New York.
