Davis Polk Welcomes Investment Management Counsel Oren Gertner

Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP today announced that Oren Gertner has joined the firm as counsel in its Investment Management Group in New York.

Mr. Gertner joins Davis Polk from Fried Frank, where he was special counsel in the Asset Management Practice, focusing on the formation and operation of private equity funds. His practice includes structuring and offering of domestic and international private equity funds and other alternative investment funds, such as buy-out funds, debt funds, real-estate funds, funds-of-funds and managed accounts. In addition, he has worked on the organization and documentation of fund sponsors' internal firm arrangements and a variety of transactional matters, including secondary transactions.

Mr. Gertner spent 12 years at Fried Frank. He earned his LL.M. from Harvard Law School and served as a clerk for a Justice on the Supreme Court of Israel.
