Davis Polk is advising Affymetrix, Inc. in connection with its sale to Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. for a total equity value of approximately $1.3 billion. The transaction, which is expected to close in the second quarter of 2016, is subject to approval by Affymetrix stockholders, regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
