Davis Polk partner Brian Resnick was recently featured in Bloomberg Law Big Law Business in connection with his win at the 2019 Tony Awards. Resnick won a Tony for his role as a co-producer of Hadestown, which took home several awards, including “Best Musical.”
Prior to Resnick's career as a restructuring lawyer, representing clients like Bonanza Creek Energy and Arch Coal in their chapter 11 cases and leading several major representations in connection with Puerto Rico’s restructuring efforts, he earned a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Percussion Performance from Juilliard. He worked for several years as a professional musician, playing drums and percussion for more than a dozen Broadway shows and on "Saturday Night Live.” The Bloomberg piece chronicles his success in both fields and discusses how he recently decided to return to his roots in the arts through investments in various Broadway shows and films.
