Davis Polk was named by The American Lawyer as one of the top four securities litigation and enforcement firms in the United States, as published in the January 2014 issue. Davis Polk’s “elite securities team” was specifically recognized for having “consistently scored outright dismissals in many key cases” as well as for having “deftly handled a range of high-stakes matters.”
Davis Polk was selected as a Securities Litigation Finalist based on the significance of victories from August 2011 through July 2013, the breadth and nature of the matters handled, and feedback from both clients and other counsel. The firm has been at the forefront of many of the most well-known securities investigations and litigations of the past two years, from the Facebook IPO securities litigation, to the litigation and investigations arising from the demise of MF Global, to the wave of mortgage-backed securities litigation following the financial crisis.
The American Lawyer, which solicited submissions from every firm in The Am Law 200, also honored Davis Polk in its “Litigation Department of the Year” biennial survey, highlighting the unprecedented anti-corruption and FCPA results that the firm has achieved in recent years.
