Davis Polk partner Timothy Graulich will be a moderator at the International Bar Association’s 23rd Annual Global Insolvency and Restructuring conference. Graulich will co-chair the “EU Initiatives for Voluntary Restructurings and Their Global Analogues: Towards More Cost Effective, Speedy Procedures” panel. The panel will examine the EU’s existing insolvency and restructuring procedures as well as the many challenges facing the European Commission’s reform initiatives, including:
- Whether the Insolvency Regulation will cease to apply to the UK
- Whether the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency will be sufficient for the UK to deal with complex cross-border European cases
- The effects of Brexit on UK schemes of arrangements
The program will be held May 7-9, 2017, in Copenhagen.
