George R. Bason Jr., global co-head of Davis Polk’s M&A practice, was among the speakers at the 9th Annual Institute on Corporate, Securities, and Related Aspects of Mergers and Acquisitions. The program, sponsored by Penn State Law and the New York City Bar Association, was held on September 21, 2012.
Bason participated in a presentation on negotiating acquisitions of public companies in transactions structured as friendly tender offers. Bason and his fellow panelists edited the presentation transcript to create “Negotiating Acquisitions of Public Companies—A Follow-Up,” recently published in the Penn State Law Review (Richard E.
