Davis Polk Partners to Speak at PLC Institute on Corporate Securities Law in Hong Kong

Davis Polk Partners Bonnie Chan, Kirtee Kapoor and Mark Lehmkuhler will be among the speakers at Practising Law Institute’s First Annual Institute on Corporate and Securities Law in Hong Kong. Chan’s panel will provide an overview of the market, including issues Hong Kong investors face when listing in the U.S. and China and vice versa, and differences in listing regimes and treatment of shareholders across borders. Kapoor will speak on the “Private Equity and Hedge Funds” panel, addressing topics such as PIPEs in the context of Asian markets, working with Asian investment banks and changes in the regulation of investment advisors under Dodd-Frank. Lehmkuhler’s panel, “Mergers & Acquisitions: Pitfalls, Competition Law and Other Red Flags,” will address the impact of Asian competition laws on merger activity, foreign investment restrictions and industry regulation across borders, and recent deal activity. The program will be held April 18-19, 2013, in Hong Kong.
