Davis Polk Partners Speak at ABA’s National Institute on Securities Fraud

Davis Polk partners Neil MacBride, Denis McInerney and Linda Thomsen were among the speakers at the ABA’s Ninth Annual National Institute on Securities Fraud. MacBride and McInerney spoke on the panel, "Deferred Prosecution Agreements (DPAs) and Non-Prosecution Agreements (NPAs): Are They as Good as They Sound?,” which discussed  the advantages and disadvantages of the NPA and DPA, as well as how to secure a favorable disposition. Thomsen spoke on the panel, “Financial and Accounting Fraud: Books and Records Violations and Beyond,” which explored the current landscape of SEC activity in this area, including sensitive accounting areas, charging trends, litigation initiatives and best practices for avoiding protracted financial investigations. The conference was held November 13-14, 2014, in New Orleans.
