Davis Polk partners Julia Cowles and Daniel Kelly are among the recipients of California Lawyer magazine’s “California Lawyer Attorneys of the Year” awards. Both Ms. Cowles and Mr. Kelly were among the five lawyers named in the “Transactional” category for their role in advising the special committee of GSI Commerce, Inc.’s board of directors in connection with the company’s approximately $2.4 billion acquisition by eBay Inc. The CLAY Awards recognize 26 accomplishments that had a significant impact in 2011. Recipients of the CLAY Awards will be featured in the March 2012 issue of California Lawyer.
